Budget season · September to November

Need to justify next year’s website budget?

A one-page brief: which version your site runs, the date its security support ended or ends, and one fixed figure — in the form your finance committee will accept. Free, and yours whether or not you go on with it.

Five questions, about a minute. The brief appears on screen before anything is asked of you — no email needed to read it.

This needs JavaScript. Without it, email your web address to shandalyuk94@gmail.com and the same brief comes back by reply.

Why a brief rather than a quote

Nothing here is news to you — you already know the platform is the problem. What is missing is the piece of paper: a date somebody else published, one number that does not move, and the risk written in language that survives the trip to a finance committee without you rewriting it.

That is all this produces. If the answer is that your site is fine and needs nothing this cycle, the brief says that instead, and you have saved a line in next year’s plan.

Question 01 / 04

When is next year’s budget approved?

This decides what is worth sending you, and when.

Question 02 / 04

Is the website already a separate line in the plan?

A line that exists is a different conversation from a line that has to be created.

Question 03 / 04

Who approves a request like this?

It changes how the brief is written, not what it costs.

Question 04 / 04

What has to be attached for it to pass?

Procurement rules differ more than budgets do. This is the question that decides the format.

Why this is a risk and not a preference

What happens if it waits a year

Prepared by Serhii Shandaliuk, Senior Drupal Developer, Warsaw · shandalyuk94@gmail.com · drupal.org/u/serhii-shandaliuk. Dates as published by drupal.org. Figures are indicative bands, not a quotation.

Last step · optional

Where should the exact figure go?

You have the band already. This turns it into one number for your site, in whatever format your approval route needs.

Used to answer you and nothing else. No mailing list, nothing passed to anyone. Nothing is installed on your website.

Done

That went through.

The exact figure comes back within one working day, in the format your approval route needs.
